Metal Enclosed Switchgear Metal enclosed interrupter switches are most often used in data centers for protecting medium voltage transformers that service low voltage (480V) switchgear. The load interrupter switches are also useful for isolating cables between Metalclad breakers and transformers when maintenance is required.
