System Manager Software

System Manager Web-Enabled Software for Critical Power Applications

Product Overview  |  Technical Details

PowerLogic System Manager Software is ideally suited for industrial and commercial end users who prefer an out-of-the-box standard solution and pre-defined applications through configurable settings. Although customization is moderately limited, the modular approach provides a standard consistent deployment throughout system.

PowerLogic System Manager Software (SMS) features an intuitive user interface that includes standard web-enabled capabilities for each member of the SMS product family. SMS helps you reduce utility costs, determine where excess capacity exists, identify over-stressed equipment and improve system reliability to maximize your facility equipment investments and help you avoid expensive downtime and lost productivity. SMS tightly integrates circuit monitors, power meters, Sepam relays, a multitude of Schneider Electric communicating monitoring devices plus supports viewing, alarming and colleting information from other third party devices by modularly installing type drivers that come complete with quantity tags, pre-defined displays to view properly formatted immediately upon setup.

FEATURE OVERVIEW

  • Operational-level software architecture: Open architecture with industry standard protocols, configurable setup for basic and advanced metering functionality.
  • Data acquisition: Full featured support for Circuit Monitors, Power Meters and Schneider Electric monitoring devices, pre-defined device type drivers and real time displays for hundreds of third party hardware and monitoring support for third party MODBUS compatible hardware.
  • Web enabled: Intuitive tabbed interface for quick system navigation with simultaneous secure access for remote connections from any browser-equipped computer on your network ? no client software required
  • Real Time displays: Standard, pre-defined data views including, real time trending, tabular data, meters and bar charts, and links to other web pages and web serving meters/gateways.
  • Reporting:
Advanced Reports for SMSPE - integrated Crystal reporting platform to create, store and administer reports from any browser-equipped pc on your network. Easy wizard driven report creation auto-builds queries for inexperienced database user. Report outputs include pre-defined interval and total energy and shift usage reports, energy cost summary reports with time of use support, and pre-configured historical logged value outputs (table, trend or pie chart). Experienced Crystal Enterprise users have full access to System Manager SQL database for custom report creation. Supports variety of export formats (including PDF support) along with flexible report scheduler to automatically print, ftp, or e-mail reports.
  • Information Manager -- SMSSE and SMSDL -- provides basic report types including history table, trend chart, pie chart, or histogram report plus pre-defined reports including Energy Usage and cost reports for electricity and other piped utilities.
  • Historical Logging & Trending: Configurable setup for defining and scheduling automatic upload from log files retained in onboard meter memory (Circuit Monitors, Power Meters, WAGES monitors). Acquires and retains values retrieved on a scheduled basis from other devices on the communications network. Due to pre-defined device modeling, SMS offers the ability to trend and compare like quantities across the system
  • Billing: Standard cost allocation and usage reports (see Reporting). Optional custom software solutions tailored for your billing rate.
  • Power quality analysis: Automatically retrieves waveforms from compatible devices, all waveform capture types including standard, disturbance, adaptive, and transient. Waveform view supports zoom, overlay, spectral and RMS analyses. Other views include real time vector diagrams, EN50160 tables, power quality indexes and other advanced Circuit Monitor supported features.
  • Alarms and events: Configure alarms to annunciate through a variety of methods, including an operator's workstation, pager or email. Alarm log hyperlinks directly to captured waveform triggered by a specific event.
  • Interactive Graphics: Offers basic and advanced graphics to depict your system using one-line diagrams, photos, or maps and representing any measurements as digital readouts, meter dial, or bar graphs to customize graphics for alarms, status indicators, control triggers, and facility views.
  • Control: Perform remote control functions using MSTerminal Services
  • Modular add-ons: OPC server, GPS synchronized sequence of events recording, emergency power supply system tests, WAGES (water, air, gas, electric, steam) and custom enhancements
