New National Ad Campaign Announced October 17, 2005

NASHVILLE, TN. - Oct. 17, 2005 --

Schneider Electric announces its first major advertising campaign to raise awareness of its Critical Power solutions offer. The ads will run in a variety of industry-specific magazines, including Pure Power (a supplement of Plant Engineering), Distributed Energy, Data Center Management, datacenterjournal.com (on-line only), Energy and Power Management, and Maintenance Solutions.

"Since the inception of our Critical Power Competency Center in 2003, we have heightened the ability to be customer focused in our approach," says Mark Bidinger, Director of the Competency Center. "With this campaign, we wanted to let the audience in on the fact that our energies and focus are about them. This philosophy has created a long list of satisfied customers ... but we still have more room for improvement."

At the heart of the ad campaign are three ads, each of which has a central message inspired by the core theme of the Competency Center: People, Products, Real Solutions.

"One of the fundamental beliefs of the Competency Group is that we understand our strengths and weaknesses. And we know that an effective critical power solution has multiple parts," continues Bidinger. "Part of which is aligning our capabilities and processes around specific customer requirements. Our programmatic approach allows us to drive a knowledge-based implementation in a structure that is customer-focused."
