PowerLogic E-Services

PowerLogic®  E-Services - We're virtually there working for you.
Service Agreements  |  E-Service Actual Scenario

After a system has been commissioned, often additional meters are incorporated during new electrical equipment installations or retrofit projects. Through E-Services, we can modify and create interactive graphics diagrams to reflect your system as well as do other system enhancements such as adding new devices and objects to existing diagrams, animating busbar one-lines, etc. With E-services, a PowerLogic specialist using remote control software via dial up, VPN, internet, etc., connects to your system to perform repair, maintenance, configuration, troubleshooting or data recovery.

Benefits:
  • Economical and Flexible - Eliminates travel and on-site time, reducing expenses and making scheduling our engineer's time more flexible and convenient for you.
  • Quick Response Time - Should a problem arise, a technical specialist can quickly connect remotely and diagnosis monitoring system issues without having lengthy phone calls or making an on-site visit.
Services Available: Ideally suited for existing PowerLogic systems requiring assistance that do not need on-site support, such as:
  • 1 day system tune up
  • Installing or Upgrading System Software
  • System Manager Server and ION Enterprise Setup configuration including creating entire systems
  • Report configuration and scheduling tasks
  • Alarm Configuration using settings defined by customer, consultant or Square D design engineer
  • Diagram modifications - adding new devices, adding objects to existing diagrams, animating busbar one-lines, etc.
  • Database modifications - SQL backups and scheduling and recovery attempts on PCs that have crashed or corrupted databases
  • Troubleshooting
Example: Successful restoration of customer's system to operation without losing data.
  • Using remote control software via dial up to the customer's SMS server computer (outside of the US), PowerLogic technical support specialist Nan Johnson was able to see multiple changes to the SMS SQL database. From her desk in LaVergne, Tennessee, she repaired the database, restored missing indexes and properties, then brought the system online.
  • Although the customer had been using the PowerLogic system for many years, the backup of the SMS historical data was over a year old. Without the ability for Nan to actually view the database remotely, this manufacturer would probably have lost an entire year of historical information.
  • While connected, the PowerLogic specialist also took the opportunity to identify some potential issues with the customer's system and make recommendations, which if followed, may prevent loss of data in the future.
